Internships

IT students are required to complete at least one summer- or semester-long internship to develop their professional skills. University and faculty resources are available for students who need assistance finding internships. Internship positions in IT include support center work, computer network installation and maintenance, systems integration, technical documentation, and information services just to name a few. The following are examples of past internships.

Internships with AICT at Gallaudet focus on developing and assessing accessible solutions for communication technology. This 10-week program includes benefits like a $6,000 stipend, as well as fully-covered travel, housing, and meal costs. Not to mention the fact that it鈥檚 conveniently located on campus.

IT students are perfect candidates for internships at Apple. Offering summer or co-op options, students work on an Apple campus learning the ins and outs of the business straight from the source of the world鈥檚 largest tech company.

ACM is the world鈥檚 largest computing society, and information technology students are eligible to join for $19/year. Membership includes access to exclusive content, private events, and a vast learning center.
